Am I ... Are We In a Rut?

Annthrasite made yet another trip to Black Haus White Market to see what was new. The owner, Jewelia Blessed caught her and told her she was probably the longest customer. Not sure if that's longest amount of time or the longest list of outfits from BHWM and Piece of Mind in inventory.

We've gone on and on about BHWM and its sister store downstairs before, but there are plenty of reasons. First of all, we just love black and white: zebra, holstein, dalmatian, and pony patterns. Then there's the weekly bargains. If it's not Secret Weddlesday or Insane Thursday, it's Nervous Breakdown Weekend where one can pick up full outfits, including shoes and other accessories, for 60L or less. If there's one thing we really love besides black and white ... it's a bargain! We can't recommend this shop too highly!

So, despite the possible over-abundance of black and white in her wardrobe, Annthrasite will continue to haunt BHWM ... especially on sale days! Rut-shmut! It's Loyalty! And it's been well-earned.

Sweet, Sweet Lies

Okay. So. So, Annthrasite was perusing this week's offerings on the 60L Weekend Photos website (so great to just see all the photos in one spot!) and saw one o' them medievally things from a shop she didn't know: Sweet Lies. "I must investigate this," she said. There are three sections: Sweet Lies that has Medieval/Fantasy/Gor clothing, Casual Lies for more modern outfits, and a DIY area called Sewing Lies.

It being a typical Saturday, Annthrasite crashed twice, but kept coming back because the clothing was really good and running at reasonable prices. Then she found this (upstairs) - for under 50L - a good deal because it comes with matching necklace, bracelet, belt, clutch, and shoooooes. And this color went beautifully with her eyes. The shoes alone are worth the price. When she gets more Ls, she'll probably go back.

Snooze and Lose

Ho Wear is back from the July 4th vacation with a new 25L bargain each day. This gown is available in 8 colors today only. But something new is bound to be there tomorrow!

I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but there is no gap between the av and the mesh dress. We often have trouble with that, but no problem here. The breasts nestle into the top ruffle. But in case yours doesn't fit, a body shape is also included.

Starting Monday (7 January) [dirty.little.secret] will have these really sweet fleur de lis flats for sale at Acid Lily Fashion Gallery, one of those venues where the items change weekly and nothing is over 70L.

Flats are Lludmila's favorite footwear.  She's stuck in the early 60s somewhere thinking that pegged pantlegs and flats are the height of fashion.  So, normally she'd go for these flats anyway - but they are so cute!  And they probably aren't coming off for a while.  We've spent far to much time zooming in on the details of the "stitchwork" and even on the soles.  Oh, and do not adjust your settings - Lludmila's skin really is that shade of green.

We like to check out the notecards from The Dressing Room just to see what's on offer.  This outfit was only 70L and totally worth it.  I think the color first attracted me.  Beats me what I see in these mustard-y colors (LG Femme called it "sherbet" - not sure what sherbet they're talkin' about), but they draw my eye every time.  I can't wear that color in RL(tm), because it would only magnify how sallow I am.  This is so classic!  It's tailored; it's feminine ... Kathy is ready for a job interview or a ladies' luncheon.  Here's to the ladies that lunch!

The hair is v v old, from Rock Candy and called Happy Cuddly Hair - used to be a favorite of mine but I'd forgotten all about it.

Tired of Halloween?

Pretty Chinese dress comes with typing AO.

Lludmila loves Halloween - must be the zombie thing - but Kathy's sick and tired of Halloween, Fall, and fall colors.  Luckily, this very pretty Chinese dress came up at Frost Pavilion on their 60L weekend offering.  It also comes in a light blue.  Both colors include shoes and a typing AO that looks like you're fanning yourself.  Charming!

We couldn't even get Kathy to put this on without the witch's hat.  Cilian'gel has a "Got Brew?" dress for a very few Llindens that easily makes a transition to just an everyday party dress.  And what a bargain for 10L (we think)!

Cruise season?

There's a mini-hunt to find three clams to give you this very cute, very un-Halloweenie outfit at Tree & Ocean SL.  The clams aren't hidden fiendishly, but you'll have to roam around quite a bit to run into them.  Be sure to add a bikini bottom to this outfit or the Anti-Slut Fairy, erm, Zombie will wag what's left of her finger at you.  She might also have to do that if you go for the single bewbie banana-cup option.

I know I haven't been here much, but I did go on an extended vacation (and while they might have WiFi at Mesa Verde, I don't really want to be on it when I'm there) and shortly after I got back, my graphics card died and Dell dragged their feet about replacing it.  Although two other cards have bitten the dust, first they made us wipe the harddrive before they would admit it was the card again.  Sigh.

My enforced absence from all but the barest minimum of virtual life (I did try to keep up with my hosting job at Grizzy's Cafe) soured me on the whole idea.  I started cleaning and ironing, for Omssake!  Worse yet, I was enjoying it.  It's taken me some time to decide what I'm going to do and I guess I'll stick with this virtual existence, but I'm going to start adding more real life to the mix.

That said, I found this very nice dollarbie at justB.  Apparently, it's a monthly thing.  Join the group (get the freebie roller skates from the notices) and keep your eyes peeled for a regular bargain.  I paired it with the slingbacks from G. Field.

 The Monday Mania from SF Designs is this snazzy military jacket and cap.  There are both men's and women's versions at the respective areas.  The slurl should take you to the tp area and thence to the gender of your choice.  You're on your own coming up with the rest of the outfit.  Typical guy, Cal just wears whatever he had on at the time.  Lludmila's red boots were 30L at Soup's On, a surprise when I went to Rose Garden to look at something quite different.  There are also a number of outfits for both men and women still for 30L on the outside of the building (the boots are in the middle in many colors and patterns).  She was thrilled to see them because she has nice boots in many colors, but had neglected red suede. 
You still have a few hours for the Monday Mania!  Make the best of it while you can!

This Week in Capitalism

 Red Baron/Baroness Dogfighting kit for 60L

Although this does not appear to be clothing, per se, it is worn.  I had seen the Red Baron while at Altya's Dream Creations picking up a freebie of some kind (I think it was the Nanny av).  As is my wont, I often stop and look at the other merchandise and have been known to actually buy items with real Linden dollars and ev'rything.  The items for sale were so interesting that I spent quite a while looking at each one.  The Red Baron piqued my interest, but at 300L it seemed a bit outside my limit (which is usually 0L) but I knew at least one friend who would think it absolutely hilarious.  I slapped the Subscribo and moved on.

Imagine my surprise when in a few days I got a message saying that selfsame Red Baron was the 60L item for this week!  That's the perfect price for something silly!  Hence my hysterical notices on all social media and direct IM'ing of friends in-world.  Now I'm lying in wait for Altya's hospital bed to turn up.  

Oh, and The White Armory put out a new freebie for their group members.  Group membership is more difficult to come by these day.  I'm not surprised.  I could see a huge upsurge of members with the extension of the group limits.  Either that or people have been jumping on and off group membership, which is something I don't do.  I will join groups if I think I'm going to stick with them for a while.  Anyway, here's the dress:
