Cal has been feeling a little left out. Lludmila and Annthrasite both have upgraded to mesh bodies, but does anyone think about Cal, still hobbling about in his system body? Apparently, Altamura does. And they have supplied a full body mesh with HUDs and AOs. The only thing is they aren't compatible with Omega or appliers like that. However, this is what Cal could look like:

The EB Awareness Charity Event is almost over, but d.l.s. has some new items on offer for 25L as well as some other items that are 15L. 100% of the proceeds from the d.l.s. mini-store go to the charity.

There are two gorgeous mesh outfits for men (which Annthrasite loves to wear as well) there for 25L. Both outfits come with men's shoes (even though Annthrasite thinks they also go great with heels). Great outfits for men are few and far between and for this price, it's almost a miracle. And, on top of it all, you will be supporting the EB Awareness Charity.

The landmark will teleport you to the main stage of the event area, but if you open the landmark in the world map, you can follow the arrow directly to the d.l.s. shop.

Lludmila dropped by The White Armory to pick up her weekly group gift (imagine, just imagine the size of her inventory now) and spied this. She immediately contacted Cal. He needed this freebie, The Duke of Earl. Hahaha!

Not sure, but I think he got the boots from L'Emporio di Bru. They've really come in handy.

Great outfit for guys in the 2014 Metamorphosis Hunt at LC Designs. It comes with the scarf and hiking boots (which are really nicely detailed). Football not included. Heh!

Poor Cal always feels left out of these fashion things ... until today. The mesh Victorian jacket and vest (including shirt collar and cuffs) is 1L from the Sleepy Hollow Hunt at Absolutely Smitten. The orange sweater is from the Harvest Moon Hunt at the same location (there's a similar prize for women).

Pekas Designs is so full of hunt prizes, you almost trip over them. Some might be leftover from past hunts and are no longer advertised, but all you have to do is walk around the lobby and there they are!

What appears to be drippy mascara on Annthrasite is Aeva's latest group gift. It went so well with that Midnight Mania gown! It will be perfect also when Hallowe'en rolls around.

Around the Grid

Annthrasite was looking for some fancy heels in royal blue to go with a gown she recently bought and it was just her luck that LockHearts' Around the Grid Hunt prize (1L) was just that! Imagine her surprise to find that they also went with that dress from the July Scavenger Hunt at Absolutely Smitten!

While at LockHearts, Annthrasite pondered the hint about being patriotic. Yeah, well, she thought, patriotic where? As if any one country has the copyright on patriotism! Who ever says, "We're Number Two! We're Number Two!"? What with the stars and bars/stripes, this dress can do double duty ... without the shoes throwing up [nudge-nudge, wink-wink].

Cal obliges me yet again. What he won't do for me!

Hatter 'n Hell provides us with a selection of hats for Passepartout: a bowler, matador's hat (very handy if you have that traje de luces somewhere in your inventory), and a turban.

Rag Dollz Mania

Currently in the Daytime Mania board in the Men's section of Rag Dollz is a great western outfit with hat. The board is set for 50 and should be easy to attain over the weekend.

I don't know when I've seen a  match this good.

I had just intended to point up the mania boards at Rag Dolls, but Cal had those fabulous boots and I wondered if they were still available, so I went to look. They were originally from J's Mainshop, which still exists and still has the western boots (sadly, no longer free) as well as some other really gorgeous shoes. They have a group gift (the group is free to join) of these mesh flip-flops with feet and color-change toenails. The skin HUD was one Ann had never used before and after actually reading the directions the above photo shows the result. I look in vain to find the join. The notecard that came with the flip-flops was scary, but the directions are found through a button on the HUD and are pictorial.

Especially that vest and shirt, which he had been admiring on the wall before he found the teensy-weensy Easter Egg nest. Boy, they are tiny! But, once you've seen one, they start popping out at you.

We Go Medieval On Cal

 Soanyway - We send Cal out to the Medieval Fantasy Hunt to see what he could find. Cal gave it a valiant effort.  [What I mean is, I ran his avatar while my husband looked over my shoulder every now and then and said, "Is that it there?"]

You know how men are - if they can't find something right away, they decide they didn't want it anyway.  "Shopping" consists of going to the store, finding something, and buying it.  Men go out, find the same pair of shoes they have bought for the last ten years and buy another pair - without even trying them on!  They just don't understand.  You're supposed to try on every pair of shoes that catches your eye (in one or two sizes, just to test out the fit) ... and then buy the same pair you got last time.  [This, in any case, is the way I buy sneakers.]  It's like the Hunter vs. Gatherer gambit.  Women tend to look and look and look, day after day, never buying anything, (driving their menfolk wild), turning over leaves and checking the color and smell.  Then, all of a sudden, we swoop in and buy a whole bunch of ... stuff.  I've had an old boyfriend accuse me of not wanting to commit myself to buying something in front of him.  He just wasn't there when the stuff was "ripe."

Where was I?  Oh, yes - Cal went hunting.  Oh, look!  Just what he needed: another outfit from LnL ... I think half his wardrobe has come from there.  This is classic styling to appeal to the male: black and spiky.  Shoes are from a different ensemble.

Dazzled by Dreams offers a Noble Warlord with flare.  Cal seems to have a Dark Captain Picard thing going here.  Boots were provided.  This was a nice touch because boots and shoes to go with men's clothes are not often included.

The following were not part of a hunt, but they caught Cal's eye.  These boots look like a real deal.  The plain boots were 35L and the armor boots and sandals were 75L.  We may be going back!  We had found the hunt item at [LZ] Creations and some boots at a great price.  We then amused ourselves by looking around at the other small shops.  

Where were these a year ago when Cal needed RP boots?!

Also, a trebuchet for 200L!  Whatta steal!  And brown goes with everything, right?

While you're there, test your juggling skills.  Cal tried the eggs and the flaming torches.  Oh, how we laughed.
