Happy Evil Holidays

Free gift for anyone at [Kusshon]: logs with many anims
to add to your own fireplace or campfire. No flames.
No wonder Lludmila's freezing and sneezing.

Candy Cane Hunt prize at Never Totally Dead.
Boyfriend and girlfriend last Christmas. Imagine my surprise!

Serving elf Candy Cane Hunt prize and helper elf
group gift at Sweet Revolutions - both animated.

Group gift of reindeer trophy - just in time for the hols! -
at Never Totally Dead.

There was just a note from Beolas at [Kusshon] that he had a new freebie out, so Lludmila logged on for some fire logs - haha! See what I did there? There is a whole Christmas Shop inside the store with Advent wreaths and more.

While she was online, she might as well pick up a new group gift from  Never Totally Dead. Take the middle teleport board from the landing place, which is a lovely snow scene. There was also a Candy Cane Hunt sign, so Lludmila decided to take a chance on finding the hunt prize this time. She's not sure she found the prize from the last hunt there. The prizes on the Candy Cane hunt are 1L.

Of course, she also has to pick up the weekly group gift at Sweet Revolutions and look at the 30L specials. Sweet Revolutions is also participating in the Candy Cane Hunt, so she picked up two elves for the price of one ... one Linden that is.

Lludmila's surprised pose from her Marketplace Shop. It's free!

For a Giggle

Dare To Wear has a large number of free wearable objects with poses (the one with the typewriter has a tap dance animation I could watch for hours). They will enhance your fashion photographs and just all-around make your day.

[Hurling pose is Zeus from the Men's Classical Poses and Props on Lludmila's Marketplace shop. I'm sure there's a knife somewhere in your own inventory.]

G Field of Dreams

G Field has sent out their Halloween gift - a cute witchie outfit: orange and black dirndl dress and hat. It also comes with an optional "shadow pants" layer that sort of disguises the alpha that cuts out the "naughty bits."

There are other colors available at the shop. They are limited time offer (until Oct 31th) and only 60L each! The Halloween outfit is out free to all comers. [Update: I just realized that the two previous Halloween dresses are also there for free and there is a pair of orange boots for 86L!]

Hair: Jasmine - gift from enVOGUE HAIR
Shoes: from Lindy's for the Brekkers at Tiffany's Hunt

Duke, Duke, Duke ...

Duke of Earl freebie from The White Armory

Lludmila dropped by The White Armory to pick up her weekly group gift (imagine, just imagine the size of her inventory now) and spied this. She immediately contacted Cal. He needed this freebie, The Duke of Earl. Hahaha!

Not sure, but I think he got the boots from L'Emporio di Bru. They've really come in handy.

Looking Weedy

Toysoldier Dandelion gown from Paris Metro.

We'd go to the Paris Metro Gallery just to see the exhibits, but the chance that there will be another fabulous and free commemorative gown on offer makes it even more enticing. This Dandelion gown is a real delight! And if you want an "After Five" outfit, just remove the mermaid skirt attachments and you have a cute dress!

The Toysoldier Thor art exhibit has both sculpture and 2-dimensional art.

Very naughty of Kathy to wear The White Armory Group Gift
from last Sunday.  Note the free gown sign in the back.

Annthrasite is also wearing a group gift hair from little bones and The Cart Sale special skin from Lumae. See previous post below.

Pas de Blah

LIKE Design Zein dress -
could use some panties!

Cuoricini parure from WTB and
necklace from KL Couture

Sweet Treats short dresses in Sherbet, Cotton Candy,
and Pistachio from JK Style

There are some freebie/dollarbie gifts at the LIKE Sales Room at OH! LIKE blah.BLAH.blahh Shopping Village. There was also a group gift nearby, but poor Lludmila is maxed out on groups and Annthrasite is having rebake issues. [Last seen she was all grey with prim hair.]

However, while wandering around, Lludmila found this really nice texture change mesh dress as a My 60L Secret offer at JK Style. It comes with the long strand of pearls that go down the back.

Six outfits for 60L!

Through a Prism

The hunt haul from Prism.

Regular readers of this blog know that I have the memory of a cat with ADHD. I think I've finally found a brilliant way to keep track of hunt prizes ... at least when they come from Prism, who are kind enough to include the name of the hunt on the box that the prize is in. Each outfit is photographed with the box that has the hunt name on it, so you will know what you're getting before clicking on it. All the hunts were free.

Annthrasite had only dropped in for the new group gift, and saw all the posters outside for the hunts. This often leads to a Nervous Breakdown.

The Frozen Flowers Hunt and Yes I Am A Dancer Hunt prizes contained mesh items (the jeans and the skirt, respectively). They were also my favorites.

The shoes are that same pair of Baby Monkey platform pumps, which were color change and came in about 20 colors. This is really handy when taking photos for the blog.

It's Never Simple, Is It?

Annthrasite tries out the Take Your Own Photo booth.

You think you have it all under control. You're just going to "stop by" Rag Dollz to see if there's something new in the Midnight Mania boards (one group, one everybody) and there's this cute li'l ole sign inviting you to visit the Christmas Village*. How could this possibly hurt? There are free gifties ...

Look for these - but check for other
freebies!

"Holiday Scene Mesh Boho Tube Dress" from Shanti -
winner of the Most Complicated Name Contest.
Be sure to pick up the bag outside.

Sweater and dangling mittens from Moonflow.
Goofy life-size pirate nutcracker from Jinxed Toys.

Santa hat from Stich In Time.

Christmas casual from Iron Sea Designs with
Xtreme brown leather heels from Cha cha.
Aloriana hair from A&A (hair for men included).

This is right about where Annthrasite had a little mental breakdown. She hasn't opened everything yet, not to mention the Peace On Earth boxes still hanging about. This is only the tip of the Christmas Village Iceberg of Freebies.

*Christmas Village (Takes you to Rag Dollz - click the Christmas Village sign when you get there.)

Not Christmas Village:

Color-change pumps by Baby Monkey
Blue jeans by Piece of Mind (lm is to BHWM - PoM is the downstairs colorful sister)
Skins - always from Aeva

In first photo - while it was still fun and simple:

Dress - group gift from dollle.
Hair - group gift from little bones.
Color-change glasses - old subscribo gift from [kusshon] & Poetic Colors.

Toxic Charm

Toxic freebie rainbow bright sandals.

These painful-looking strappy stilettos (stiletti?) are free at Toxic. Lludmila had a good look at the merchandise and was delighted to see many, many colorful mesh outfits that are 50L! And these sandals should go with any of them!

Minnie the Moocher - Halloween Edition

Sexy pirate outfit going "cheep."
No, wait. Going "caw."
In fact, it's free!

Here's the story 'bout Minnie the Moocher, she was a red hot hoochie-coocher. She only picks up the freebies at Heidi Heidi HoWear. But that's only because her typist has her on a budget. There are six free sexy outfits at HoWear's Haunted Garden. That's just to lure the moochers up there and then tempt them with sexy and/or fun costumes that aren't all that expensive (100 - 125L). Oh, look! A mini Jason av! Hack off their knees! Hack off their knees!
Check out the big pile of freebies in the gift boxes in the center!

Absolutely adorable little monsters!
Only 100L each.

Say Arrr!

See next post for erratum.

Costume for ladies and gents from The Renaissance Hunt.

A note from Brain Circuit, Inc. reminded us that it's time for the Medieval Fantasy Hunt ... and it looks to be fabulous! Medieval Fantasy Hunt pix here. Above is a sample from Brain Circuit, Inc. - and being piratical has never looked better!

I'd have more, but the internet is intermittent chez nous and I was barely able to provide this picture and the link! Fortunately, the hunt goes on for a month and Lludmila will have a crack at the 3 houses, the church, the furniture, the knife-throwing wheel (for that other blog) ... ohhhhh, it's just killing us that we can't get in and that we had to go to the local library just to upload this much!

sigh.

Update: Here's why I wanted to do but the interwebs weren't cooperating.

Annthrasite's skin courtesy of the YourSkin & YourShape group gift.

What a Trip!

Tie-dye denim romper by Catastrophe Designs
Ev'ryone's got that tie-dye texture somewhere.
Lava Lamp one of many items from Potpourri Designs.
Chest an old acquisition from Shay's.

For those of you who did not actually live through the 60s and 70s, what a party you missed! Riots, bomb-scares, protests,  dirty long hair - you name it. And yes, I remember it, because I wasn't doing drugs. I did not go to Woodstock - my mom wouldn't even let me go to a local outdoor rock concert because she'd "heard what went on." And I was one of those kids who listened to Mom. There you go - I've said it.

The only scanned picture from that time I currently have of myself (full body anyway) is in fencing regalia [see below]. This is because my dad favored slides over prints, so there are virtually (if you'll pardon the adverb) no family photos of me from age 8 onward. The 50s, yes - and when I finally got my own camera in the 80s, but no 60s or 70s. I have to go on memory alone, which means I can pretend I didn't make any of those hilarious fashion errors with the gaudy prints, bell bottoms, and granny glasses that come back to haunt others. And you can't prove it. Ha ha!

Now, there's a Woodstock Hunt going on - relive the 60s! The last thing Lludmila needs is more clothes, but there happens to be a big 60s party coming up at the end of the month and while she managed to put together two pretty good "costumes" out of what she already had, she thought it couldn't hurt to see if there was anything good out there. Well, there was. These are just a few.

Starting at top left: Masoom, Ruby, K2K, Roots & Wings Gallery.
Bottom left: Grumble, Telsiope, ToXiC HiGh, Cupcake Clothing
By the way, a couple of these came with shoes, but that's just wrong. And besides, Lludmila doesn't have time to keep changing shoes or looking for ones that go with the outfits, so no shoes are shown. Take it from me, in Kentucky in the 60s, there were no shoes. That might have been just Kentucky, but ...

The Lowdown:

Catastrophe Designs - Isn't particularly authentic, but I really loved this romper.
Potpourri Designs - lava lamp. I love lava lamps. I actually own one. Also included are some beanbag chairs, a rug, a peace sign - fun things!
Masoom - I hope you can see the lacing in back.
Ruby - came with fringed boots and those glasses that now enable Lludmila to see SL in 3-D.
K2K - came with some black maryjanes that were nice enough but really loved the cute little dress. I'll have to go back because they have some really funny stuff too.
Roots & Wings Gallery - oh yes, remember that crinkly Indian cotton fabric?
Grumble - just so darn cute and worth the headache of finding it.
Telsiope - I'm trippin' on these colors, man.
ToXiC HiGh - Lludmila wasn't sure she'd like the prize, it not being "her sort of shop," but she only had to put it on before she started having flashbacks, man. Embroidered jeans came with.
Cupcake Clothing - I had a very similar skirt, but the pattern was teensy. I loved that skirt.

The hunt starts here at Wasteland, but have patience. Some shops have dropped the hunt, one hint board told Lludmila to wait until August 15 (it was the 18th). The hints are here - use your fair weather friend "search" when all else fails.

And now, what Lludmila put together from what she already had:

Mustn't forget the light lipstick fad. Hair should be
slightly messy for hippie, as opposed to Carnaby Street or that
Villager craze and Bass Weejuns.

Lludmila cheated by getting those boots yesterday off the Marketplace. They were free from AnaLee Balut. She calls these demos "wearable" because they don't have the telltale prims announcing that or a blank texture. She's extraordinarily generous with demos and group gifts and her clothes are unusual - different from the usual fare. Visit the sim, too, and find yourself back in the Kasbah.

And in the interest of full disclosure:

1950s (I'm the one on that poor, scrawny pony)

Late 1960s

1980s - OMG, is that a mesh tennis dress?
I clearly needed an alpha for that.

Hmmm, these seem to be giving the false impression that I'm some sort of athlete. Nothing, nothing could be further from the truth.

Am I Blue?

Jilly with prim feet & flipflops.

Remember those fabulous flip-flops from a previous post? Ann found the perfect sundress to go with them. She's all ready for Caneel Bay in this group gift from Leri Mills Designs at Acid Lily Gallery.

Evolution dress in jade.

For those of you green with envy - there's more. There was another group gift available (must be another one of those happy accidents) at Acid Lily Gallery, this time a green cocktail dress from even.flow.  The Acid Lily Gallery is free to join and if you pay attention, you can get some great gifts!

Luckily, Ann has some color change heels from Es Styles that will go with almost anything.
Hair: Former subscribo gift from Truth.
Skin: Jaci, Autumn Kiss from Aeva. Gosh! This may actually have been paid for! But I bet it was on sale, if I know Ann.
Eyes: Clear Pond, former freebie from Poetic Colors - I think he has a new one out, but these go with the dress, now don't they?

Rag Dollz Mania

Dobins in green from Rag Dollz.

Currently in the Daytime Mania board in the Men's section of Rag Dollz is a great western outfit with hat. The board is set for 50 and should be easy to attain over the weekend.

Puppy not pictured.  That photo wouldn't load properly.
It's a shoulder pet.

Also at Rag Dollz on the open Midnight Mania board is a cute puppy-themed outfit ... complete with puppy.

Totally unedited (other than cropping) photo.
I don't know when I've seen a  match this good.

I had just intended to point up the mania boards at Rag Dolls, but Cal had those fabulous boots and I wondered if they were still available, so I went to look. They were originally from J's Mainshop, which still exists and still has the western boots (sadly, no longer free) as well as some other really gorgeous shoes. They have a group gift (the group is free to join) of these mesh flip-flops with feet and color-change toenails. The skin HUD was one Ann had never used before and after actually reading the directions the above photo shows the result. I look in vain to find the join. The notecard that came with the flip-flops was scary, but the directions are found through a button on the HUD and are pictorial.

Update:

Just a reminder that these outfits look just as good on gals!
