Leopard in Purrrrple!

Bottle Bird skirt

Bottle Bird leopard jeans
You know what goes so well with green skin?  It's purrrrrrple!  Here are a really cute skirt and jeans with a fab leopard print from my dirty friend at Bottle Bird.  Showing just a touch of tummy isn't slutty.   And that purple leopard print looks kind of like my skin in Real Life (tm) at the moment.
Paula glasses from Artilleri
Kitten flats from Ztique
Tank is something I've had so long I can't trace the shop.

This Weekend's Haul

Cocktail Dress from The White Armory
It's true, I've been lax about posting lately, but that has as much to do with my health issues as my general disappointment in the land of cheap couture.  Things have improved greatly in the latter, because I'm still suffering in Real Life (tm) but I have lots to share.  Above is an unusual offering to the White Armory group: a short cocktail dress.  Sure, their gowns are gorgeous, but after a while you run out of places to wear them.  This black and pink confection, however, you can wear almost any time.  It comes with the black stockings and the pearl parure.  Kathy dug out some Baby Monkey slingbacks to wear with it, but she might go bare-legged next time and wear some pink heels.  Her hair is a brilliant freebie called Sophia from Vignette and the skin is Pure Morning from Heartsick.

Artilleri Sale
It's an ill wind that doesn't blow someone some good.  We have a Blue Screen of Death to thank for the 50% off sale at Artilleri.  I can't express how happy Lludmila and Kathy were to see this, although we deeply sympathize with the need to buy a new machine.  Artilleri is a haven of high-waisted trousers.  Those Nina black jeans will go with anything and the retro shirt fits great right out of the box.  Lludmila couldn't resist the Buddy glasses with the tape.   Just add the pocket protector (got one from Croire) and she's all set for one of those Science Circle classes!  Hair is from Clawtooth, darling.

Artilleri Sale
Both my avs and I love capris.  If only I could find some in Real Life (tm) that fit this well!  Ruby Capris, Paula glasses, and the Othelia blouse from Artilleri.  The kitten flats were from Ztique ages ago.  The skin, of course, is Lludmila (light lips) from Absentia.

Fire Good Supernatural Hunt Gift
Cal got the notice on this hunt gift from Fire Good.  For some reason he wasn't interested.  Not sure why Lludmila isn't subscribed to them, but as long as Cal is willing to pass on the information it isn't necessary.  The Supernatural Hunt starts May 1, which, according to my calendar, was today.  There seems to be a discrepancy in dates in the virtual world, but the last time I checked, we in this hemisphere were the last to rip the sheet off the calendar.  Doesn't really matter - we have all month to hound these shops for hunt gifts.  Fire Good, however, has theirs out.  And isn't it cute?

I don't know how other people's avatars have morphed over time, but Lludmila always had elf ears, even though they rarely showed.  I had some odd idea in my head that she had a secret elf half.  Then at some point I fell in love with the green zombie skin from Absentia.  Now I guess she's part elf, part human, part fairy, and undead to boot.

Too Cute for Words

Project Themeory Dress from Bottle Bird.

My dirty little friend at Bottle Bird has sent me this preview of her Project Themeory submission, which I have paired with these incredibly cheap and color-changeable saddle shoes from Baby Monkey's Discount corner and some lacy anklet socks from a +RokumeikaN+ outfit from the Lucky Board.  The outfit can be dressed up with some stilettos, beachified with flip-flops, and being made as separates on many layers, it's very versatile!  Lludmila is now ready to knock 'em Undead at the next Cuteness Contest.

Baby Monkey is having an Easter Egg hunt (none of them hidden - just set out here and there throughout the shop) for some cute pumps - but none of the ten colors went with this dress.

Lludmila suffering from Cuteness Overload.
Whatever you do, don't show her pictures of kittens.

She's still the only Lludmila that starts with two Ls.

The Weekend's Here!

Time to relax - maybe do a little mending ...
Now that I'm a bona fide-y fashion blogger (ha!), I get previews of coming attractions and then just when I am preparing to take a photo (setting up my photo box with poser, shedding my dancing duds), SL crashes on me (could that have anything to do with the 37,000+ item inventory I carry about with me? Naaah!).  I figger, it's late, I'll just go to bed and do this in the morning.
So, after a refreshing sleep, interrupted only by two cats using me as a trampoline so they get fed, here is this weekend's Project Themeory Offering from Bottle Bird.  There is also a green tee that goes with it, but the jeans are what is so cute.  Not just the sweater leg, but look at the safety pin holding the top closed!  Hahahaha-hem.  Been there, done that.  The motto on the dark pink tee reminds me of my mom who used to say, "Use it up, wear it out, make it do."  She mentioned that to a friend of hers once who responded, "That's sick!"
Perhaps this explains the 37,000+ items in my inventory.  The pixels just don't wear out!

Also, you may recall my homage to Dany French Touch a while back.  Yesterday I got a new box of Freebies (men's and women's) and was excited all over again.

New Dany French Touch outfit and Secret Shelf boots
So, I get ready to do another sycoph- umm glowing post on her stuff and this morning there is another notice - that everything in the shop is free.  There are about 20 outfits each for men and women - all unique.  Now, that should keep you busy this weekend.

Bottle Bird Project Themeory jeans and tee
flats ... don't remember, just wear them allll the time.
Dany French Touch Black and white dress with panniered skirt, puff sleeves, trailing ... arm thingies.
Secret Shelf Dirigible Damsel Stiletto boots, color changing with Steampunk option, only 49L!!!

Unslutty and Inconstant

I'm always promising myself to not get involved in another [insert humorous expletive here] hunt - and then I see some pictures on the freebie blogs [list at right] and it's "Goggles on, chocks away, last one back with the goodies is a Euro-Federalist!" - again.  The men's prizes at Rag Dollz has already been touted by Carson, but nowhere did I see the women's prize!

You can tell it's Steampunk by all the spinning gears.
The dress is a gleaming gown with beautiful details and has the handheld mask as well as a tattoo mask.  I had sent Cal to get the men's prize and he peeked at the women's prize box before tossing it away (Cal wouldn't be caught dead in this outfit) and tipped me the wink.  He also told me where it was hidden - sweet of him, as if the avs standing around the area weren't a good enough clue.  You, however, are on your own.  It's not that hard.  They at least give hints for the Steampunk Hunt.  Now, that Twisted Hunt is a horse of a different chinashop.

Peep-Bo!  It's just Lludmila!
While I was pawing through the pile of bargains in the 60L Weekend notecards, I came across a photo of some glasses that looked so nicely detailed that I visited the shop.  It's called Hatpins and has, as should be expected, the loveliest collection of vintage hats and other accessories for the meticulously unslutty.

Lludmila tries a demo cloche hat (just love those!) at Hatpins.
Coincidentally, Hatpins also has a Steampunk hunt prize comprising a hat (of course) and goggles - well, a goggle.

The goggle hunt prize - OMG, Lludmila needs to start eating cookies!

Hat - without steam
What paroxysms of delight one could experience changing the color of the hatband and tinkering with the colors of steam.  The little needles on the dials on the hat move, too!  This really "pegs the needle" on my happiness meter!  Their blog.

Hmm, I forgot to get those 60L glasses!  Will have to go back.  [Makes note to self: "Re-read this blogpost."]

A Delicious Red

Verging on Bohemian glass, a regal gown.

Kathy shows off her eyelash adjusting technique.
Again something gorgeous in the group gifts from The White Armory.  I hope this can continue, considering they are developing a Premium Group for an ungodly amount (my memory is of somewhere between 2,000 and 5,000L per month - but the thought of that amount of money for virtual goods [that doesn't neigh or canter] shut down my brain and I can't recall now the actual cost).  Pardon me, I must retire to mah fainting couch and be fanned by some scantily-attired young person.

Prison Chic

It's not all unicorns and rose petals: Lludmila & Cal in stir.

The fun at this place is just criminal!  You get a free prison uniform and you can have your mugshot taken and a large selection of poses in the cells.  And there's more there:

Okay, there are some unicorns.

Stop by and pose for some photos.  I only wish we had more time (but I had to work this weekend).  Fairy Dress was the latest hunt prize at Paris Metro.  There are more poses with the unicorn (I think the "rescue" one is hilarious).  A person could waste hours here ... I mean, more than you'd normally waste inworld.
