We've mentioned 4Kittens of the Apocalypse before.  It's the place to go for a cuteness and kitty overdose. Lludmila visited just to check out the new Waffle Fairy outfits for regular as well as Petite Mesh Avs (I bet you got one of those free ones and still don't know what to do with it, eh?) and found a small cupcake lying on the floor.  When she clicked on it, it disappeared and gave her these three cupcake necklaces!  The necklaces come in blue, pink, and purple and emit apocalyptic light when clicked!  The vanishing gift-giver is a sample of just one of the clever scripts they sell at 4Kittens.

I don't know about you, but I'm always making something or rearranging objects ... and then losing them (like Duckie).  Yesterday I was rezzing some plantlife and I though they just weren't rezzing.  I found them later, hovering over my house.  Whut-thuh ...  It was a bit out of price range because Lludmila got a bit heavy-handed at a Relay For Life kiosk, or I'd have gotten it.

 Paris Metro has a gown for those who just drop by Santorini ... and, while you're there, vote for the location. It took a while for the gown kiosk to show up, but it was worth it: our end of the color spectrum and the lovely frill around the top. Both our faves!

 Time sure flies when you're on the You Go To My Head Hunt.  Look for the little straw hat at BrainCircuit Inc. to get the steampunk tophat with the spinning clock hand!

This week's group gift from The White Armory is a fantasy in white.  Lludmila wishes she had occasions to wear these gowns, but we're content to do the adult Barbie thing and just gaze at the details, adjust the prims, take photos, and sigh.

This week's The White Armory group gift is the van Gogh sunflowers and iris dress.  Those of us who toured the western art world with Kenneth Clark know to pronounce it "Gawkkhhhh" to the disbelief and unintentional moistening of others.*  Anyway, along with a stunning gown and a perky little headpiece with veil comes a framed reproduction.  Now, if only Lludmila had room to display that.

This only makes us miss the Virtual Starry Night Exhibit even more!  We visited multiple times and played in all the exhibits of three-dimensional representations of van Gogh's paintings.  Brilliant!  Another creative use of interaction in virtual space!  Oh well, there's still Art Box.

 BlakOpal has new freebies for men and women. There are several ways of wearing the outfits, but they all involve those wide stripes.  The ladies' outfit has a miniskirt option. (Boots and hat not included.)

We're big followers of the Virtual Vagabond blog, which I highly recommend, and while hounding another freebie off the Marketplace, we often take the time to see what else is in the online version of a given store.  So, while we went to SZYM Motors to pick up this free car (that looks like one of the original Volkswagens) ...

Okay, okay, I'm getting side-tracked by non-wearables and this blog is nominally about fashion.  I'll continue with the vehicular fun at my other blog: Virtually Happy.

What's that strange buzzing sound?

Once sucked into the vortex that is the Marketplace, we start noodling around for more freebies and that's how we found this amazing Dragonfly avatar at Avalon.  Although not "actual size" it is small.  It was a big hit at the last dance Lludmila attended.  Good gravy, you'd think she showed up nude or something.  Of course, it did take a while for the av to be seen.  It flies, it hovers, it flaps its wings, and it will buzz if you want it to.

The long and the short of it.

There's a new exhibit of photographs at the Paris Metro Gallery and two new commemorative gowns!  We always enjoy the art exhibits there and they have some magnificent photographs this time.

You can usually tell how much I like an outfit by how many pix I take.

Kitten Gacha

Sure, I sent Lludmila to the CDT First Anniversary Event* to see what the freebies, lucky boards (and one lucky drum) had to offer, but what really got me was the kitten gacha.  Lludmila walked around and around for absolute ages waiting for Ls to come up and each time she passed the +NK+ kitten gacha, it just called to her like a siren ... like her RL(tm) cat does every night after we've all gone to bed and even though she had just been there and seen us getting into bed she cries like she's been abandoned.  Where was I?

It doesn't do anything. It just sleeps on top of your head.  It's Lludmila's new fashion accessory and worth every one of the 30L.
The lucky boards all all over and they have all sorts of things: outfits, hair, skin, nails, boots, handbag - plus things for sale ... and the kitten gacha!  Below is the handbag Lludmila won.  We don't usually keep the handbags.  Everything fits so nicely in folders in one's inventory - why carry a bag?  This one had two books in it, though.

The newest edition of The Dressing Room is up.  There were a couple of goodies Lludmila just had to have. We avoid clothing now.  It's quite a struggle to keep the inventory below 41,000.  (Getting rid of all the White Armory group gifts would put a dent in that - but, I mean, really!)  New *YS&YS* Berefeet 2.0 prim feet, though - that's worth the 70L!  They're copiable and the HUD adjusts size, skin and nail color, and toe ring and bangle options.  Lludmila went for no bangles and I think she did a good job matching her zombie skin.

Plenty of instructions on matching skin color, but we eyeball and do fine.

Also available at TDR are some nice make-ups for lips and eyes for 55L from Fishy Strawberry.  Phew, Llizila Taylor and Sophmila Lloren could have used some of the dark red lips a couple of weeks ago.

Keep It Clean

Slut originally referred to a dirty, slovenly woman and so, to prove she isn't even that kind of slut, Lludmila set out to do her laundry.  Sunday seems to be a big day at the laundromat and she would have to get behind someone who doesn't know what he's doing.  Don't put that in with the whites, Cal!

 Check out the freebies at RC Clusters and then explore the rest of The Nest sim.  There are some free poses at Olive Juice in emaciated and curvy styles.  Those curvy ones are just the thing if you are broad in the beam or are wearing those system skirts that make your bottom look enormous.

The rest of The Nest sim has an Easter Egg Hunt with gifts large and small: perfect for sprucing up your home ... or just providing a whole new one.  This means all new furniture, too.  Sigh, an avatar's work is never done.

Lludmila likes to check out the shops to see what is interesting and found some happy things.  Clutter's desk is loaded with animations that produce the relevant objects instantly without having to pull them out of the inventory.

Lludmila spent so much time playing on Sway's day bed that she almost missed the basket of eggs.  The day bed also rezzes objects automatically as each pose is chosen.  Lludmila's favorites were waking up with the alarm clock (which rings briefly) and searching under the sofa.  Maybe if she has enough lindens next week (and doesn't spend all her stipend on 60L Weekend items), she'll buy it.  If not, we still have the photos.
